"Let It Be Forgotten"

Let it be forgotten, as a flower is forgotten,
Forgotten as a fire that once was singing gold,
Let it be forgotten for ever and ever,
Time is a kind friend, he will make us old.

If anyone asks, say it was forgotten
   Long and long ago,
As a flower, as a fire, as a hushed footfall
   In a long forgotten snow.

Not Lost in You

"I Am Not Yours"

I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.

You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.

Oh plunge me deep in love -- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.

Underneath the Moody Skies of Southern Alberta

Rattling around the Milk River Ridge one Saturday in search of the mythical bounty of prairie crocuses we find instead open prairie, skies that make your heart sing and more visual tales of stoic settlers.

Bug-Eyed............

There's a street that I take home from work sometimes that has a couple of businesses with yards full of old junk.  I can't usually get close enough to get any photos......things are usually locked up behind fences but on this day I came across this old beauty with bug eyes and beautiful curves.

Suns & Circles

Pipe laying around the river bottom was an interesting find one sunset evening..............

Country Roads

Another wander through the back roads of southern Alberta on the way home from Calgary yesterday amid the spring snow.

Welcome back.......

After months of going to and from work in the dark it's probably my favourite time of the year when I emerge from the office and find the glorious spring sun showing off before slipping behind the mountains.  Ol Sol I welcome you back!

Impressions

Impressions_i
What do we see when we look around us? What small details present themselves as snippets of poetry that speak to our souls in that moment?  I am always amazed at the little things that jump out at me when I am open to receiving them.
